Continuing Education Units
Meeting Professionals International offers Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to recognize and record satisfactory participation in noncredit educational programs. One Continuing Education Unit is awarded for each 10 hours of instruction.

When calculating the number of CEUs for a course, the number of hours should be divided by ten. For example, a three hour program converts to a .3 CEUs. To qualify as a source of CEUs, a course cannot be less than 1 hour in length.
Some associations track by Credit Hours rather than CEUs. One Credit Hour is earned for every 1 hour of instruction or .1 CEU = 1 Credit Hour.

NOTE: When a course is at least 50 minutes in length; it may be counted as a whole hour. Any course between 30 and 40 minutes, must be counted as 30 minutes. Any course less than 30 minutes cannot be counted.

KCMPI offers CEU forms at the end of each program. It is each individual's responsibility to track his or her own CEUs.

CEUs are needed for CMP & CMM certification eligibility, as well as for CMP recertification. Points for CMP & CMM may also be earned by participating on committees and submitting articles to the KCMPI newsletter and other industry publications.

For more information about CEU please email KCMPI.
